What’s it made from?
All of our glitter is made from plant cellulose and will start to degrade after a few months when exposed to microbes in harsh conditions in natural environments. So, you can wash it down the sink or shower without feeling guilty 🌿🌿 Plus, it’s cruelty-free and vegan, so you can feel good about the products you’re using. 🐰🌱
Glitter decomposition time can vary depending on the environment, but it will break down quicker when exposed to microbes in natural environments e.g. composts, soil, and ocean water.
Biodegradable glitter is also much softer and lighter than plastic (PET) glitter, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin. We still recommend taking care when putting glitter near your eyes, for obvious reasons! ✨💫
What packaging does it come in?
We offer two packaging options for our biodegradable glitter: reusable aluminium tins or oxo-biodegradable zip lock bags. Oxo-biodegradable bags don’t release methane gas as they degrade 🌏💚 Our tins are perfect for those who like to keep their glitter collection organised and tidy, while our bags are a more compact and travel-friendly option. How do I apply it to skin?
To apply to face/body: apply a clear balm (we use Gaia Balm, 100% natural and made in-house!) to the area then add glitter with a brush!
